lyrics

Drunk for Fifteen Years.

I'm in a hospital bed and on the menu I read: 'Your liver's been soaked in wine.' A dead girl threw me a line and she sang: 'You've never had the grace to wake and face your fears cos you've been drunk for 15 years.'

They put her under the knife and wrapped her organs in ice, a nurse appears by my bed, and as she gave me the meds, she said: 'You've never had the grace to wake and face your fears cos you've been drunk for 15 years.'

Shadows lengthen outside, the light it slips from my eyes, the angels soften the sting, and as my last orders ring, they sing: 'You've never had the grace to wake and face your fears cos you've been drunk for 15 years.'
